Basics
Pick your egg
Swipe up and down to choose how you like it: Runny, Soft, Jammy or Hard.
Start the timer
Tap the egg in the middle to start. Tapping another egg scrolls to it first.
Turn the volume up
Before you start, make sure your iPhone’s volume is high enough to hear the alarm. Eggly’s Alarm Volume can only go as loud as your phone’s own volume.
Boiling or cold water
In Settings, choose how you start:
Boiling: boil the water, add the eggs, start the timer.
Cold: add the eggs to cold water, bring it to a boil, then start the timer.
Stop a timer
Tap the ✕ in the top right, or press and hold the countdown, then confirm.
When it’s done
A rooster crows and the screen turns green. Rinse your eggs under cold water to stop the cooking.
Settings
Tap the gear in the top right of the home screen.
Auto / Manual altitude: water boils cooler up high, so Eggly adjusts the time. Auto uses your location; Manual lets you set it yourself.
Room / Fridge: where your eggs come from. Cold eggs need a little longer.
S / M / L / XL: the size of your eggs.
Eggs: how many go in the pot. Each extra egg cools the water a little, so it adds about 20 seconds.
Alarm Volume and Sound: how loud the rooster is, or turn Eggly’s sounds off. Keep your iPhone’s volume up too: Eggly can’t be louder than your phone.
Screen Always On: keeps the display awake while Eggly is open.
Streak Reminder: on a streak of 3 days or more, if you skip a day you get a late-night nudge. Boil an egg the next day and your streak is saved.

Troubleshooting
Can I leave the app while an egg is cooking?
Yes. The timer keeps running, you’ll see the countdown on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, and you get a notification when it’s done.
What if I swipe Eggly away in the app switcher?
That stops the timer, and no alarm will ring. Leave Eggly in the background instead of closing it.
Will the alarm play in silent mode?
While Eggly is open, yes. When Eggly is in the background you get a notification instead, which follows your phone’s silent and Focus settings.
I didn’t hear the alarm.
Turn up your iPhone’s volume with the side buttons, and check Alarm Volume in Settings.
Make sure Sound is switched on in Settings.
If headphones or a Bluetooth speaker are connected, the alarm plays there instead.
I didn’t get a notification.
Check that notifications are allowed in iPhone Settings > Notifications > Eggly, and that a Focus mode isn’t hiding them.
The time seems too short or too long.
Check your settings first: egg size, Room or Fridge, and Boiling or Cold. Every stove and pot is a little different, so if your eggs come out a touch off, try the next doneness level.
Why does Eggly want my location?
Only to find your altitude and the local temperature, which fine-tune the cooking time. It’s optional: switch altitude to Manual to skip it.
